Services

We can work with many types of music media. Whether it's tape cassettes, compact discs, or vinly records, we can splice, mix, change tempo's, add effects, lengthen/shorten songs, add custom designed endings, de-noise records or tapes, and perform many other features to enhance your final product. We do this by using state of the art computer technology.

Music Editing has two locations in New Jersey, Burlington and Mercer County. If you are within our local service area, we will meet with you to review your edit. If you are outside of our service area, we can still assist you by way of the two options mentioned below:

Phone / Internet / Mail - Discuss the edits over the phone, and e-mail the edits as an MP3 for you to proof. Once approved, the edits will be sent to you, after payment has been received. Shipping charges will apply.

Phone / Mail - Discuss the edits over the phone, and play the edit over the phone for you to proof. Once approved, the edit will be sent to you, after payment has been received. Shipping charges will apply.

All editing is produced on your choice media:

  • Compact Disc
  • Cassette
  • DAT Tape
  • Mini Disc
  • MP3

*All media is labeled with the name of the edit and running time.

MP3 files can be delivered via the Internet as a means of quickly proofing edits if you are located at a distance or wish to proof the edits prior to pickup or delivery. However, MP3 compression sacrifices sound quality, so these files should not be used as masters. Connecting to the Internet via a cable modem or DSL is recommended as those connecting using a dial-up(56k) will experience longer download times.

Every edit is kept on a personal file, and can be referred to in the future for any further edit corrections. Any edit that is not correct due to Music Editings fault will be fixed without a second charge. Any edit that is changed by the client will be considered a re-edit, and the client is responsible for the additional charge.

    Hints
Minimize your expense by preparing for the editing session. Select the music you want and make written notes about each portion you would like to include (track number, start time, and end time).
